Info

Sisters I am so glad that many of you have taken up the charge to read your lessons. There have been a few questions about what lessons are what days and what some abbreviations mean. Thanks for letting us know...here are some answers!
1st Sunday - RS presidency picks the lesson. They think it up themselves and grab info from many different sources (kind of like a talk)
2nd & 3rd Sunday - from the New Manuals
4th Sunday - Teaching For Our Times. These lessons are from the last General Conference and they are chosen by our Bishop. Sometimes they come a little late in the month but we'll try to get them to you
5th Sunday is rotated between Bishop and RS President. These lessons are kind of like 1st Sunday, but for both Priesthood and Women.
Remember our Blog is only good if you use it. I try to keep it accurate and up to date, you can become a follower and then all changes are automatically sent to you. You can put it on your Favorites so you can have it pop up at the click of a button. Please us it and leave comments :)

Beans, Beans

Wow, I never knew there was so much to learn about beans, they are nutritional, they can be stored easily in our Food Storage, and they can be used in so many ways to enrich our food, stretch a meal out, make things taste yummy, and they really are Good for the Heart.

If you are interesed in more info please give Sister Garner a call.

Year of the ANGEL

Angel's are all around us, you can feel them in our lives when we slow down and pray or actually think about it. The Question is are you an ANGEL for our Heavenly Father in the life of someone else? This year we will be focusing on our Angelic Powers and Responsibilities. How can we tap into that power? How can we be of service to our fellow (wo)man? How can we feel confident in our calling on Earth? This is our theme for the year. By December of 2010 we should feel confident in our Visiting Teaching efforts, we should feel our load ease up as we depend on the Lord and take upon us HIS yoke, we should have formed friendships with those we visit and serve.
Please come to our Visiting Teaching Workshop and get excited to try on your ANGEL wings.
Thursday 1-28-10
6:30pm
Dinner will be served and a Nursery with snacks will be provided.

Visiting Teaching Updates

Sisters, as many know I have had a few things on my plate.......so I haven't been up to date on my Visiting Teaching Responsibilities....SORRY. But I'm bringing in the new year strong and ready to repent of my ways and get our RS moving in our VT efforts! Look for new Lists. Look for opportunities to serve and Look for the Spirit. This is the Year of the ANGEL, you can be one for our Heavenly Father. Click here for for cute Handout helps http://www.theideadoor.com/images/stories/ReliefSociety/VT/2010/Jan_10_VT_2.jpg

Beans, Beans, Good for.....

This Provident Living we will be learning the value of BEANS in our food storage. Should we store it? Why? How much does it coast? Is it easy? Is it worth my time? These questions and more will be answered by Sister Garner and Sister Ripa. YUP, that means we will be joining both wards for this night.
